Can you explain to me what a snack, a quick service meal, and a table side meal entail? I've never to Disney so e dining plan is new to me. Thanks ladies!

    Hi Liz,

I think you will enjoy visiting WDW on the dining plan.  It is a very convenient way to enjoy the parks.

The table service credits will provide you with a beverage, main entree, and dessert at participating table service restaurants.  These restaurants are best visited with advanced reservations.  You are seated by a hostess and have a waiter or waitress take your order and serve you your food.  Without the dining plan a dinner at one of these restaurants can be anywhere from $25-$50.  You can also use your table service credits to dine at one of the WDW buffets including the character buffets.  Here, it is also recommended that you make advanced reservations.  Your waiter or waitress will bring your beverages, but everything else can be gotten from the buffet.

The quick service meals are more similar to fast food establishments.  You do not need reservations and your credit will give you a beverage, entree, and dessert.  You wait in line to order and then pick up your food from a counter.  You then seat yourself.  The counter service restaurants have choices like, salads, soups, burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, sandwiches, etc.

The snack credits can be used on a large variety of items.  While you are in the parks you will see carts selling items like beverages, popcorn, ice cream, potatoes chips, etc.  On the menu you will see the dining plan symbol next to items that you can purchase with a snack credit.  You can also use snack credits for individual items at the counter service restaurants and at your home resort.

All of the WDW castmembers are very familiar with the dining plan.  The folks working at the food establishments are there to answer any questions that you may have.

I hope that helps answer you question.  Have a great trip.
