Can you explain the room-only discount. If you book with this discount, can you still get a package. Interested in having the basic dining. Thanks for your help.

    Carlene:

The room-only discount is just that: room only.  The pre-paid Disney dining plan is only available when you purchase a Disney vacation package which includes a room at a Disney resort plus at least a one-day ticket park ticket and a meal plan.  In my opinion, the packages were never as cost-effective as purchasing your room, meals, and tickets all separately....until last year.  Since this time last year, I've seen Disney hold more and more promotions for their vacation packages--and this offers families the ability to add on the dining plan which helps in budgeting.

I recommend keeping an eye on the disneyworld.com special offers page or checking out their latest offer: Buy 4/Get 3 FREE.  It's like getting a room discount for 40%!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
