What can we excpect to find in our room at Port Orleans Riverside? Coffee maker situation? Fridge, safe, hair dryer, etc? Trying to plan what to pack. Just a few weeks away and I am just about to burst with excitement!

Hi Karen! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I see your trip is coming up at the end of this month. I bet you are counting down the days!

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is my favorite Moderate level Walt Disney World Resort hotel. The lush landscaping and overall vibe from this Resort makes me feel relaxed as soon as I step foot off the Magical Express from the airport. The last time I stayed here, I ran out of room while packing and was forced to leave my hair dryer at home. Thankfully, I did find a wall mounted hair dryer in our room (take that, bad hair day!). I was also thankful each morning for the in room dual-cup pod style coffeemaker. There were several regular and decaffeinated coffee pods left in the room for us daily. If you require more, feel free to request some from the Front Desk.

There is a small wall mounted safe with a key lock in the bathroom area. While it will likely not be large enough for your laptop, you can fit smaller valuables in it, such as wallet, phones, documents, etc. There is a small fridge in the room to cool your drinks or save a dessert for morning snack (school bread from Epcot for breakfast? Yes!).

There is a great fan web site that I found several years ago that goes into more detail about what you can expect from your room at both Port Orleans Resorts. You can go to www.portorleans.org and look under Guest Rooms for more information. I hope this helps you plan your vacation and save some room in your suitcase for all those souvenirs. Who am I kidding? Save room for dozens of Mickey crisped rice treats in that suitcase!
