I am so excited!!I have planned a surprised Disney World trip in for one week in August! (me, hubby and 3 girls) I have two questions. I know the heat is terrible in August and my youngest daughter is only 3. Are there any cooling spots to get some relief?

    Hi Michelle,

Walt Disney World in the month of August can be tough. The first time we visited during August my oldest daughter went to every water fountain on property. When I asked why, she said she did not want to get dehydrated.

I recommend water bottles for everyone along with hats and light clothing. Unlike New Jersey, every place that is indoors is air conditioned. This will help greatly. Also, you may want to spend a day at the pool or water park because you will need a break from the heat. You should book dining reservations at a table service restaurant each night to guarantee a nice, cool spot for dinner.

In Epcot, there are fountains that little ones run through. They are on the walkway between Future World and World Showcase. You can also find them in front of the Mission: SPACE and theTest Track Cool Wash. Ellen's Energy Adventure and Space Ship Earth are two longer rides that keep you in air conditioning for at least 30 minutes.

In Magic Kingdom, there is Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak station in Fantasyland to keep her cool.

Remember to go slow and use FastPass+ to reduce wait times.

    Wishing you a magical day!
