Hi. I am so excited! We will be staying at The Art of Animation Cars Suite 11/26-12/1. We want to take advantage of a full first day at Animal Kingdom, What would you recommend for parking? Go to hotel early and ride bus or park at AK?

    Hi Michele,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can sense the excitement in your house as you get ready for your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

The answer really depends on how early you plan to arrive. Since check-in does not officially begin until 3:00 p.m., you probably would not be able to check-in. However, you could leave your luggage with bell services at the resort hotel. Doing so would save you the hassle of returning from the park and having to drag your luggage from the car to the resort hotel. Or, you could just go straight to the park and get there at park opening. Check the park hours for the dates of your visit. On November 26, it looks like Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park opens at 9:00 a.m. I suggest you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to park opening.

If you do not have a Fast Pass+ for Avatar Flight of Passage and you plan to ride it, I suggest that you do that one at park opening. If that will be your first ride, I suggest arriving at least an hour prior to park opening. Otherwise, do your Fast Pass+ selections as planned and check ride wait times on the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Remember that you can add another Fast Pass+ as soon as you have done your third Fast Pass+ and/or the ride time window for that one has expired.

Michele, you may be better with remembering where you parked than me. Just in case, I suggest you take a photo of your parking location or make a note of it. The parking lots are extensive.

You all will love Disney's Art of Animation Resort! The Big Blue pool is AMAZING!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
