Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

Excited to stay at Riviera Resort over the July 4th holiday! We couldn't get reservations at Topolino's Terrace for dinner so are looking for a different place to watch the fireworks. Can you see them from the pool area? Any other suggestions?

    Bonjour Caroline!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Spending the 4th of July at Disney’s Riviera Resort sounds tres magnifique!

I had the pleasure of staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort back in December and it was an amazing stay. You’re going to love the elegance, the dining and the top notch staff at the resort. I would keep checking for reservations at Topolino’s Terrace as guests do make cancellations. I don’t think that watching the fireworks from the pool area is a good backup plan. Because the way the pool is surrounded by the building, I don’t think you would have a view of the Epcot fireworks. There would be a better chance for fireworks from Disney's Hollywood Studios but it’s not something I would count on for the 4th of July. If you booked a standard view room, those actually have the best views of the fireworks from Epcot. If you did, I would make a non-guaranteed request for a high floor room. You could then grab a glass of wine from Le Petit Cafe or a drink from the full bar at Bar Riva and enjoy the fireworks from the balcony in your room!

If you didn’t book a standard view room or are looking for something a little more exclusive, consider booking the Disney Vacation Club Member Event at Top of the World Lounge on Bay Lake Tower’s 16th floor. Top of the World Lounge might be my favorite place to relax at Walt Disney World and it’s definitely my favorite place to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The event hasn't opened for booking yet, but stay in touch with the Disney Parks Blog to be the first to know when it’s time to book. It is open to members that are eligible for Membership Extras and can be booked through Member Services. In 2019, Disney Vacation Club Members enjoyed the best seats in the house and a buffet of small bites, desserts, and beer and wine for those ages 21 or older. Some other options may be a Dining Reservation at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or a Dining Reservation at Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa where you could see the fireworks from their private observation deck.

Well Caroline, I hope you find the perfect place to celebrate the 4th of July fireworks. Remember that no matter where you watch from, the best part of it all will be celebrating with those you love.

Remember, always believe in the magic!
