So excited! We are planning on going in Nov and our son will almost be 2 yrs old then. What parks do you recommend for an almost 2 yr old and is 2 or 3 days enough? We are thinking about staying at the Dolphin. Any suggestions for hotel too? Thank you!

    Hi, Kacie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question. I’m happy to hear you’re planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one. It’s never too early to start making magical memories as a family!

There is something for Guests of all ages at each of the family-friendly theme parks at Walt Disney World, but if you don’t have time to visit all four, I think Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot have the most to offer families with young children. Be sure to visit the Storybook Circus in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park and ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Your little guy will love exploring the circus-themed play area instead of waiting in a traditional queue. You’ll receive a pager that holds your place in line while your son can slide, climb, and jump in the air-conditioned playground!

I recommend visiting for at least one to two days per theme park. Especially with a toddler in tow, you’ll want to schedule naps and breaks into your day while still having time to explore the parks without feeling rushed. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin are popular hotel choices that are conveniently located near Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. I stayed at the Walt Disney World Swan on my very first visit to Walt Disney World and was pleased with the hotel’s location and our spacious room. If you’d like to stay close to Magic Kingdom Park, there are three beautiful resort hotels that are a quick monorail ride away—Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside is a great moderate resort option with boat access to Downtown Disney.

I hope this helps, Kacie. Please feel free to ask more questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
