Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

So excited for my Navy wives’ 20 yr friendaversary trip to Disney World with my 2 besties! We’ve booked Highway In The Sky Dine Around and we’re so looking forward to it but I see rain forecasted that night. Will the fireworks show still go on in the rain?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Deanna!

A girls' trip to Walt Disney World Resort is pretty much my favorite thing to do. I went on a really spectacular trip this fall with my friends and we loved it so much that we decided to make it a yearly thing. We also love eating incredible meals and sipping cocktails in gorgeous lounges, so I definitely understand how excited you must be for your upcoming vacation this week! The Highway in the Sky Dine Around is the perfect way to celebrate your milestone friendship anniversary.

On this most recent trip, my friends and I kicked off the holiday season with the very first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the year and it rained pretty heavily that night. We watched the premiere of Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks in our ponchos in the rain, and the show was not hampered by the wet and foggy weather. As long as it's safe to do so, the show will go on and you'll be able to watch Happily Ever After, but it's important to note that safety is the number one priority and the show can be canceled for inclement weather. I'll keep my fingers crossed for clear skies for your trip, but keep your eye on the weather forecast so you know what to expect and check the My Disney Experience app frequently so you'll be the first to know if there are any changes to the daily schedule.

    Have a magical day, Deanna!
