Hi, we are very excited for our first WDW trip coming up in May. My daughter is an early riser, so we are definitely going to be doing the early Magic Hours at the parks. I would like to know at what time is the opening show at MK . Would it be at 7:45?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Iris ~

A first trip to Disney World is always amazing and I'm super excited for you and your family! Be sure to pick up your "1st Visit" buttons at your Disney Resort Hotel or any theme park Guest Relations location. You never know what pixie dust will come your way.

The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show takes places each morning a few minutes before the Magic Kingdom opens. The characters arrive on the train and stop in front of the Main Street U.S.A. Train Station and welcome Guests to the Magic Kingdom before they enter the park each day. You will often hear people refer to it as "rope drop".

The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show typically takes place 10 - 15 minutes prior to park opening depending on what time the park opens. You can find the schedule for the day you plan to visit by clicking on the link provided above. Once you reach that page, you will see the time for the current date and a small calendar icon. Click on the calendar icon and select your date of visit and it should bring up the time. Be sure to check back just before your trip in case the schedule changes.

You are in for a treat! The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show is really cute and a great way to start off a magical day with a little sneak peak of what is waiting for you in the Magic Kingdom.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. It is our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
