    Michell Asked

We are so excited! Coming 10/30-11/7 visiting all 4 parks. Recently I read something about Jersey week being 1st part of Nov. What is this and will it be alot busier at the parks due to this? Should we avoid certain parks on certain days? Any advice?

Hi, Michell!  You might be worried that Jersey Week means the cast of the Jersey Shore has flown south for the winter!  I can't guarantee you won't run into The Situation or Snooki, but as a Jersey Girl, I know almost as much about Jersey Week as Snooki does about spray tan and big hair!

Jersey week is the week that the New Jersey Education Association holds it's annual convention.  This year, the convention will be November 3rd and 4th, and many of the New Jersey public schools will either have a really long weekend, or they will close the school for the whole week so that the teachers can have the time to go to the convention.  It's a great time for Jersey folks to take the kids to Walt Disney World, because they aren't missing any school.

As for which parks to avoid on which days, I love the website touringplans.com.  You can check out their crowd calendar for up to 30 days in advance, and that may be of some help.

As with other busy park days, get your Fast Passes to avoid some waits in line, and try to do things at off peak times - like eating a late breakfast, an early lunch, or a late dinner.  You can also get around some of the crowds by skipping a parade or the fireworks and head to an attraction instead.

    Have a great vacation!
