Hi moms, can you now exchange your dessert on the dinning plan for a soup or salad. Thanks

    Hi Tina,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  We're so happy you stopped by with your question today.

I'm a long-time fan of the Disney Dining Plan and take advantage of it almost every time I visit Walt Disney World with my family.  Some of the things that keep me going back are the convenience, the value and (most of all), the amazing food!

Earlier this summer, some improvements were made to the Disney Dining Plan that now give Guests even more options and flexibility during their vacation.  Two of those changes apply to your choices if you do not want dessert with your meal.  If you're using a Quick-Service meal entitlement, you may substitute your dessert (or non-alcoholic beverage) for any item that is eligible as a Snack.  This must be done when you place your order, so just be sure to let the Cast Member know at that time.  If you're at a Table-Service restaurant, you may now substitute your dessert for a side salad, fruit cup or cup of soup (as available at that location).

My fellow Panelist, Kate, recently gave a fantastic answer that described even more of the improvements that were made to the Disney Dining Plan, so I'd definitely recommend checking that out for additional information.

Wishing you delicious dining and a magical vacation, Tina! Please write back if we can help answer any other questions.
