Colorful Ship at Night

What exactly do we need to do with our beer and or/wine to carry it on board the ship? Does it need to be packaged a special way or is just tucking completely in my carry-on ok?

    Ahoy Michele –

Your cruise is coming up next week and we are so excited for you! It looks like you are working hard to take care of all of the last minute planning for your cruise, and we are so happy to assist you. There are no specific guidelines for packaging your beer/wine except that they must be brought in your carry-on luggage. Make sure that you familiarize yourself with the Alcohol Policy prior to boarding. Your baggage may be inspected if you are bringing beverages onboard, so please make sure your drinks are accessible to security. I suggest that you find the safest way to secure your beverages especially if they are in glass containers. I will never forget the horrible inconvenience when my mother set down her backpack and broke her wine bottle in the cruise terminal right before our vacation on the Disney Wonder. Wine went everywhere! Stores do sell special travel devices for glass bottles of wine that you may consider, or perhaps some good old bubble wrap may be helpful. Whatever you decide to do, be careful with handling your carry-on and don’t forget what is in it (smile)! Thanks for stopping by, Nancy and I are always happy to help.
