Hi everyone, just wondering with the DDP if you have a quick service lunch but you don't really want your dessert at that time and not order it, can you have your dessert later on in the day and it still counts as part of that lunch and not a snack choice?

    Renee:

Unfortunately, there's no way for Disney to currently designate on your dining plan which components (drink, entree, or dessert) you order with your counter-service credit. So if you're not interested in dessert when you make your "purchase," you won't be able to order that component later.

I'm not a big dessert eater and neither is my daughter, and we tend not to want the dessert at mealtime when we've traveled on the dining plan.  We simply choose a cookie, cake slice (most are packaed), or even fruit--something that can pack well--and save it for later or even for breakfast the next day.  Ask the cast member at your restaurant what choices you can pick from that would pack well.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
