Hello everyone, hope someone can help. My family and I will be traveling this July to DW. My inlaws will be joining us but they have seperate reservations. We have both included the dining plan. Can we do dining reservations and pay with own DP?

    Hi Francisca,

Using the Disney Dining Plan is incredibly easy and flexible.  Even though you and your in-laws have separate room reservations, you can still both use the Disney Dining Plan to pay for your meals (whether you eat together or apart).  Just let the server know when you first encounter him or her that you have separate Dining Plans.  We have had this same situation many times while vacationing at Walt Disney World as we regularly travel with my parents.  It has never been a problem to pay for our meals with Disney Dining Plan credits attached to two separate resort rooms.

Making reservations for table service restaurants shouldn't be a problem either.  I recommend that you call (407) WDW-DINE to speak to a Cast Member to make your advance dining reservations.  Have your resort confirmation number and that of your in-laws on hand so that you can provide those numbers, if necessary.

Wishing you and your extended family a truly magical vacation this July!  I have always believed that multi-generational trips to Walt Disney World are the best.  Have fun!
