    Mary Asked

Hi everyone - We are heading to DW in August, as we are celbrating with another Family, our adoption of our 5 r old twins and their 6 yr old son. Are there any special events during this time?

    Hi Mary,

What a great celebration, for the adoption of your children. This sounds absolutely magical.

This year Walt Disney World is celebrating Limited Time Magic, in which special celebrations pop up weekly.  Disney is keeping most of the celebrations under wraps until very close to the date they occur. You can monitor the website for announcements of upcoming Limited Time Magic celebrations as your trip gets near.

I definitely suggest that you get the "I'm celebrating" buttons when you are at Walt Disney World. These buttons are available at no additional cost at Guest Relations at any of the theme parks. There is a space on the buttons for a cast member to write your reason for celebrating right on the buttons. Wearing these buttons usually garners smiles and congratulations from cast members as well as other guests. Likewise, be sure to indicate on any dining or resort reservations that you make at Walt Disney World that you are celebrating. Sometimes an indication of a celebration may mean an extra surprise dessert or other little treat. You should not expect this, which makes it even more magical if it does happen.

You might also consider contacting Disney Floral and Gifts either online or by calling 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438).  They can arrange wonderful personalized gifts. You may also consider calling the Disney Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253 to arrange for a special cake for your children. You can find further information on cakes at Walt Disney World by visiting disneyfoodblog.com and searching for "cake."

No matter what you decide to do, I'm sure this will be a magical celebration for you, Mary. Please do not hesitate to come back and ask if we can help you plan any more!
