I've only ever been to WDW mid March (spring break) and mid February (President's Day week). We're going in May this year, ending our vacation on Memorial Day weekend. How do the Memorial Day weekend crowds compare to the President's Day weekend crowds?

    Hi Kelly,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family often visits on Memorial Day weekend, and we've been there a number of times during Presidents' Day weekend. I think you will find the crowds pretty similar on the two weekends with one exception: Since Memorial Day is one of the Star War Weekends at Hollywood Studios, crowds at that park likely will be very large.

We were at Hollywood Studios last year on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and found the crowds really hard to deal with. Unless you are a big Star Wars fan, I'd suggest that you visit that park earlier in your vacation. I also highly recommend that you use FastPass+ to choose your favorite rides and attractions in advance. That's a great idea all the time, but especially during the busiest days.

The good news is that the peak summer season doesn't really begin until the week after Memorial Day, so you should find manageable crowds during most of your trip.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help you as you make your plans. Enjoy!
