? for Erin. Myself, husband & 3kids plus my parents will be going last 10days of jan. and again in june in your opinion would it be worth it for me to get an annual pass & get the dde card? We really enjoy dining as much as the parks.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I don't know how I missed your question.

The math of this can be tricky. The cost of an annual pass is significant, but it also offers significant ways to save money, as well as other less tangible benefits. The rule of thumb is that if you'll be spending more than 10 days out of a 366 day period at WDW, then it makes sense to consider an annual pass. Some of the things to factor into your decision include:

    - Possible discounts on the price of an annual pass for DVC members or Florida residents
    - Possible room discounts for pass holders
    - Discounts on tours, recreation, and merchandise for pass holders
    - The fact that there is no way to purchase a Disney parks admission ticket valid for more than 10-days (other than an annual pass). After you've used up a 10-day regular ticket, to purchase more admission days, you'd have to start back at the one-day admission price.
    - The ability to purchase dining discount plans such as Tables in Wonderland (formerly called the Disney Dining Experience)
    - The ability to participate in special pass holder only events.

Because I am a DVC member, I was allowed to pay the DVC rate for the annual pass, which is much less than the regular annual pass rate. Combine this with the fact that my purchase of the Disney Dining Experience Card allowed our party to save many hundreds of dollars on dining this year, and my annual pass purchase was a no-brainer.

Annual pass holders can also save hundreds on lodging by taking advantage of passholder-only discounts. Because I am a DVC member I have not personally used these discounts, however, the folks at the Annual Pass office would be happy to answer your questions. They can be reached at 407-560-PASS.

At first glance, it does seem to me that you would be a very likely candidate for an annual pass, but you'll have to do the math yourself based on your own personal touring style.
