Hi, Erin.  Michelle told me to ask you my question. Which resort would be better for a 9(boy) and 15(girl) Boardwalk Inn or Beach club?Michelle said the pool at beach club is nicer.

Michelle has sent you to the right place. I have stayed in either the Beach Club or the Beach Club Villas eight times. And I have also spent a good deal of time at the Boardwalk pool during one trip when the BC pool was being refurbished.

Both the Beach Club and the Boardwalk are great deluxe hotels with every amenity. They are equidistant from the super-convenient International Gateway entrance to Epcot. You would be fine at either hotel.

The one pro to the Boardwalk I can think of is that it is a slightly closer walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios. You really could walk this if you didn't feel like waiting for the boat. The biggest con I can think of for the Boardwalk is the possibility of noise. There is a fair amount of activity on the Boardwalk in the evenings, such as people walking to/from the nearby Atlantic Dance Club. This is really only an issue if you have a water view room.

The pool at the Boardwalk is nice. It has a cute carnival theme and a nice water slide. On the other hand, the pool at the Beach Club is truly spectacular. The pool, called Stormalong Bay, is really a 3-acre pool complex divided into several interconnected areas. One end has a shallow sandy-bottom area. This is about the depth of what you would think of as a "baby pool" but my 11-year-old still likes it there because it's a great place for sand castles. In fact, the nearby snack bar serves kids' meals in plastic buckets that can later be used for the sand. Other areas of the pool include a huge waterslide that is fun for adults as well as kids. There is also a "lazy river" where you can drift around and scoot under waterfalls. A giant whirlpool area is great fun for kids to get twisted around in.

I really can't think of any cons to staying at the Beach Club. As you can tell, it's one of our family's favorites.

Hope you have a great trip!
