Hi Erin, Where is the best place to view the parade at Animal Kingdom? We want to see the whole parade and have dinner at Yak & Yeti afterwards. Is there a good viewing place near the restaurant, and what time should we make our dinner reservations for

The Jammin' Jungle parade at the Animal Kingdom starts in Africa near the Kilimanjaro Safari, circles around the Tree of Life past DinoLand, passes by Asia, and ends back in Africa. There are countless wonderful viewing spots throughout the park. I personally would avoid the area directly around the Tree of Life because guests entering the park tend to crowd there.

There does happen to be a particularly good spot near the Yak & Yeti. If you look at your park map, directly across from the Flights of Wonder attraction, you'll see a little "P" there. This is a designated parade viewing area for guests with disabilities. This area has great sightlines. You obviously won't want to stand in the way of anyone in a wheelchair, but you should be able to stake out a good spot nearby.

The Jungle parade generally starts at 4:00. (I don't know the dates of your visit to WDW, you should double check the parade time on the WDW website before you make your plans.)  The 4:00 start means that the parade begins in Africa at that time. It will take about 15 minutes to make its way to the turn near Asia I just mentioned, and then the parade itself will take about 15-20 minutes to pass you. You should be completely clear of the parade well before 4:45. Since you'll be just steps away from the Yak & Yeti, I'd say dining any time after 5:00 would be perfectly safe.

Be sure to get the green beans at the Yak & Yeti. My kids rarely eat anything green <sigh> but the beans there were so delicious that we ended up ordering a second helping of them.
