Hello Amy!  I love seeing a fellow North Carolinian here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  October is a great time to visit Walt Disney World.  I am getting so excited for our trip in late October and I know you are too.

When I visit Epcot, Food and Wine Festival or not, I don't make a sit down reservation for that day.  I absolutely love snacking around the World Showcase.  Being there during the Food and Wine Festival is an added bonus.  You'll want to have plenty of room in your belly for all those yummy snacks you typically can't get at Epcot the rest of the year.  Your question was cut off but your young children will also find so many kid friendly options around the world that they are sure to love and will make a great lunch for them. Coral Reef is a great place to eat and I think you'd really like it but if you've never done the Food and Wine Festival before I'd absolutely recommend doing that instead!

I hope this helps make your decision a little bit easier.  If you have any other questions, please come back and ask us.  Happy planning!

I love all-things-Walt Disney World! No trip is complete without a few carrot cake cookies, Dole Whip Floats, thrill rides with my 7-year-old, Pin Trading and finding Hidden Mickeys with my husband. I may have a small family but we are always ready for some BIG fun on our next Walt Disney World vacation! Learn More About Jackie
