Mom With Kids After Run

Is epcot a good place for children? I have 2 girls (9 year old and 7 year old).

My girls (ages 8 and 11) love Epcot. They have a great time on all the "fun" rides in Future World, including Test Track, Soarin' (best ride EVER), the Seas with Nemo, and the Journey into Imagination.

What is more interesting to me is how much they love some of the more ostensibly "educational" attractions at Epcot. On our last trip to WDW (February 2008), they begged to go on the new Spaceship Earth ride half a dozen times to hear more about the development of human communication. They also were so fascinated by the Living with the Land ride, that they asked to take the walking tour of the Land pavilion. (This tour, called "Behind the Seeds," has an additional fee, and allows you to walk through the hydroponic growing areas of the Land.) There is a so much great information at Epcot presented in fun, captivating ways, that the kids don't even know they're learning.

My girls also enjoy exploring the countries of Future World, particularly the food. We often try to sample at least one dish from each country during our vacation. Without Epcot I never would have known that my daughter's favorite ethnic cuisine is Moroccan!
