    Kirsten from AZ Asked

HI! We will be at Epcot in the AM and early afternoon, and would like to spend the PM in Hollywood Studios. Can you walk there? Is it faster to take the bus, or ride the boat back to our hotel (Boardwalk) and then walk or boat to Hollywood? Thanks!

    Hi there Kirsten,

Whenever we stay in the Epcot Resort Area at either Disney's BoardWalk Inn or the Yacht and Beach Club, we ended up debating over how to make it from Epcot to Hollywood Studios.  When my kids were younger, and I pushed them in a stroller, I almost always walked from the International Gateway exit, down the BoardWalk and to Hollywood Studios.  It generally took me about 20-25 minutes depending upon how tired I was!  I enjoy walking, and found it a relaxing and scenic stroll.  Now that my kids are older (7 and 9), when the weather is cool, I'd say we walk most of the time.  When it's warm and/or someone is cranky, we hop on a boat from the International Gateway exit and head over to Hollywood Studios.  Once the boat leaves, I'd say it takes about 25 minutes to make all of the stops and arrive at Studios. (You could get off at BoardWalk and walk the rest of the way if you prefer.  From BoardWalk, I'd estimate an additional 15 minutes of walking.)   If you have to wait for a boat, you can add up to 15 minutes or so to your total time.

If you are in Future World at the time you decide to leave Epcot, hoping on a bus to Hollywood Studios will take about 15 minutes of riding time.  However, again, if you have to wait for a bus, you will add about 15 minutes to your transportation time.

    Have a great trip!
