does entertainment ie. fireworks or fantasmic etc count as one of your 3 fastpasses or is entertainment additional to your initial 3

    Hi Rachel,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

I am so glad to hear that you are thinking about Disney FastPass+ service ahead of your Walt Disney World vacation. This service will allow you to experience some attractions each day with shortened wait times. As you know, you can make three Disney FastPass+ selections per day ahead of your vacation. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel can make these selections up to 60 days ahead of their check-in date. Guests not staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel can make them up to 30 days ahead.

Yes, anything that you make a Disney FastPass+ selection for counts as one of those three choices. For example, if you choose Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios, or IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot, even though these are nighttime shows, each would count as one of your three original Disney FastPass+ selections for that day.

As you may know, after you have used your initial three Disney FastPass+ selections on a day, you can make another fourth one, and then a fifth one after you have used the fourth, and so on and so forth, for the rest of the day depending on availability. Therefore, choosing one of the nighttime shows for one of your initial selections functionally eliminates the ability to make more than three Disney FastPass+ selections for that day. Because of this, my family typically does not use our Disney FastPass+ selections for the nighttime shows. We use our selections for other attractions during the day, and as it gets closer to the evening, we will see if there are any Disney FastPass+ selections available for the nighttime show. If not, we are perfectly happy to just find a spot to watch the show and know that we may need to get to our spot a bit earlier.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Rachel.
