Can we enter multiple times to the same park with 1 park a day tickets? For example we choose Magic Kingdom for day one and we enter in the morning, then go back to our resort for an afternoon nap. Can we return to magic kingdom?

    Hi Ashley,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can imagine the happiness in your house as you plan a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

I am thrilled to report that you most certainly can enter the same park multiple times per day with a base ticket. My family typically buys base tickets to save money. They work well for our family because we love to do pre-park opening dining reservations early then head back to the resort hotel for afternoon pool time.

If you have not done pre-park opening breakfast reservations, I suggest it. At Magic Kingdom on our last visit we did a pre-park opening breakfast reservation for 8:00 a.m. at Be Our Guest. The official park opening was 9:00 a.m. but all guests are now allowed to enter one hour before park opening to enjoy the shops on Main Street, U.S.A. With the 8:00 a.m. breakfast reservation, we were allowed to enter 15-20 minutes before other guests. We love to take photos in the park while it is nearly empty!

The special surprise on our last visit was that we ended breakfast by 8:45 a.m. and were able to jump in the stand-by line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We rode without a Fast Pass+ because there was no line! After doing our first three Fast Pass+ selections, eating lunch and watching the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, we left the park. Had we not done the Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package, we would have departed right after lunch to head back to the resort hotel.

Ashley, for us, time always flies when we are in the parks so, if we plan to leave, we have to work to stick to that plan. Be sure to know about how long it will take you to get back to the resort. The My Disney Experience Mobile App has a "Get Directions" feature that will display estimated transit times between locations.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
