If I enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom and I want to eat lunch at Sanaa, can I leave the park and return after lunch or would that use two admissions? Thank you

    Hi Sharon,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Your Walt Disney World Vacation is coming up so soon, and I know just how excited you are! Have so much fun counting down the days until your time in The Most Magical Place on Earth.

I think you’re going to be “wild” about this news: you can absolutely leave Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park for lunch at Sanaa and then return to the park for more fun! Your Walt Disney World theme park admission is valid all day and allows for re-entry; if you have the Park Hopper option on your ticket, you can even visit multiple parks on the same day.

My family almost always leaves the theme park mid-day for a calm lunch, a nap back in our resort room (ahhhh…air conditioning), or some pool time. Then, when we’ve had some rest, we head back out for more theme park fun! This strategy really helps us balance all the excitement and energy of the parks with the rest and relaxation we want in a vacation.

I think Sanaa is the perfect place for a mid-day lunch break, Sharon. I ate there with a dear friend last week, and we had such a lovely time. The Indian-Style Bread Service is delicious, and I highly recommend the Malawi Mango Margarita if you’re looking for something refreshing. While enjoying the beautiful restaurant and delicious food, keep an eye on the Savanna, as you may spy some animals walking past.

Enjoy every minute of your visit to Walt Disney World, and please come back and see us if you have any further questions as you do your last-minute Disney dreaming.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
