Hi Emma! We are going to WDW in September, I was wondering in your opinion would it be cheaper to buy the disneys 14 day ultimate ticket in the UK before we go, or to buy the tickets when we arrive, we are planning to go to water parks and disneyquest?

Hi Charlie and welcome to the Mom's Panel.

The answer to your question really depends on how many days you plan to spend at the Disney parks.

You can find the current prices of Magic Your Way Base Tickets which are available to purchase both at the parks or ahead of time on the US version of the Walt Disney website. As you are wanting to visit the water parks and DisneyQuest during your trip, you would need to add the Water Park Fun & More option.

In order to access the US version of the website, you will firstly need to visit the Walt Disney World website in the normal way. Scroll down to the bottom left of the home page and you will see a box titled 'Select an International Version' From here, select USA: English which will re-direct the page. You can then click on 'Tickets & Packages' followed by 'Buy Park Tickets'

For example, a 10-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket with the Water Park Fun & More option currently costs $316 for guests ages 10+ and $293 for guests ages 3-9. (This currently equates to approximately £200 / £180) Please be aware that if you wanted to visit more than one theme park on the same day, you would also need to add the Park Hopper option which would cost an additional $54 (£35) per person.

Disney's 14-day Ultimate Tickets currently cost £225 for guests ages 10+ and £198 for guests ages 3-9.

I actually prefer the convenience of having the 14-day Ultimate Ticket as it allows you unlimited access to any theme park, water park, DisneyQuest, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Oak Trail Golf Course at any time throughout your holiday.

I hope that this has helped you to make a decision but if I can be of any further assistance with your planning please visit the Mom's Panel again and ask me another question.

    Wishing you a magical holiday!
