Hi Emma. Thank you for your quick reply to my message it's so lovely to find someone to help me we are booked into all stars music is pop century a better hotel to stay? I have read they have their own buses and is new years eve as mad as people say?

    Hi again Lorna,

It's always nice to be able to help a fellow UK Guest to plan their trip to Walt Disney World!

Disney's Pop Century Resort does indeed have its own dedicated buses where as Disney's All-Star Sports/Music & Movies Resorts share. When my family visited for Christmas and New Year in 2010, we stayed at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort and didn't have any issues with the buses at all.

As far as New Years Eve goes, yes it will be busy! I would recommend that you plan to visit Epcot on this day as it is by far the biggest theme park and can therefore deal with large crowds much better than others. I'm not going to lie, it will be busy and lines for attractions will be long but it is by no means cheek to cheek and you will still be able to move around.

My family spent New Years Eve at Epcot in 2010 with my then 7-year old Son and we had a lovely day. If you arrive expecting it to be busy, have a plan of what attractions you would like to experience and make good use of Disney's complimentary FASTPASS Service, there is no reason why you can't have a very enjoyable day.

We normally arrive in time for park opening, do all of our must-do attractions in Future World first and then after lunch make our way to the World Showcase where we spend the remainder of the day wandering around each of the countries and soaking up the atmosphere.

There is usually two showings of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth on New Years Eve and so we tend to plan on watching the earliest showing and then heading back to our Resort hotel as there is simply no way that my Son would stay awake long enough to see the New Year in.

If you need help with anything else at all, please feel free to visit us here at the Moms Panel again and ask me another question.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
