Hi Emma, my family will be visiting WDW in Aug 2011, first time for our son and also hubby's 40th!. I have been looking at doing some dining/other experiences and wondered if you could advise me of anything not to miss? Thank you for your help, Nicola x

Hi Nicola and welcome to the Mom's Panel,

You must be so excited about bringing your son to experience the magic for the very first time!

In my opinion, you really don't want to miss any of the parades or nighttime fireworks shows as they are absolutely spectacular. As far as other things are concerned, it really depends on what your family enjoys doing whilst on holiday and the age of your son.

Here are some recommendations to make their trip a little more special:-

1/ Make an advanced dining reservation for a Character meal or Dinner Show

2/ You could also look into booking a Tour or Special Experience. There are many different things to choose from which you can find out more about HERE

3/ Perhaps your husband would enjoy a Richard Petty Driving Experience as a birthday treat

I will be happy to help you further if you would like to ask me another question with details of the age of your son as well as his interests / favourite characters etc...

    Wishing you a magical holiday!
