    George Asked

I am eligible for the military discount and would like to come to Disney World in March with my wife and brother-in-law. Would like to stay in a resort that has two bedrooms-3 nights, 4 days. Budget $3,600. Will have Park Hopper pass but need meal plan?

Hi George! Basically the only Disney resorts that have true two bedrooms will be the Disney Vacation Club properties. These are reserved for all guests depending on availability. They are pricey but they are also quite roomy and great for families or two couples traveling together. One bedroom will have a king and bath and the other usually will have a queen or two queens and a bath. They have a living area and a full kitchen making it easy to prepare breakfast and simple meals right in your room. They can range from $700-$900 a night so it would eat up a great deal of your budget. The largest of the units will be at Old Key West but many of the Disney resorts now have DVC sections such as Beach Club, Boardwalk, Contemporary, Animal Kingdom, and Wilderness Lodge.

Your other option that is likely to be less of a hit on the budget is to simply get two connecting rooms at the resort of your choice. This will give you the interior door that can open to each other's rooms and offer the two bathrooms. You give up the kitchen facility so you have to decide what is important for your vacation.

My family chooses not to have a meal plan when visiting Disney as we like to pick and choose our dining and not worry about credits. The dining plans are a great way to have your vacation paid in full basically before you arrive which makes it easy for many families. I suggest the basic plan if this is the route you wish to go which gives you the one table service meal, one quick service meal, and a snack each day. Please remember to get your advanced dining reservations no matter what you do so you have some things in place ahead of time. Walk ups to many restaurants are almost impossible during many times of the year.
