    Daniel from IL Asked

Does an elderly person who rides an ECV need to check in at guest services for the privelege of getting a voucher to come back to a ride a ride after the wait time period is over or is that just granted automatically to those in an ECV?

    Hello, Daniel!

Guests who use Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) do not need a particular tag because most of the attraction queues are wheelchair and ECV friendly. Therefore, you will find many attractions that allow you to your unit right to the boarding area. Some attraction vehicles can accommodate your ECV enabling you to remain in the unit to experience the attraction. Of course, there are a few attractions where the queues are narrow, and Guests will need to transfer to a provided wheelchair before entering the line and then board the attraction vehicle. The Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities page lists all the attractions by categories so you will know where you must transfer and where you can remain in the ECV.

If you find you need further accommodations, be sure to visit a theme park Guest Relations Lobby to speak to a Cast Member about Disability Access Service (DAS). This service provides a virtual wait to those who are unable to wait in a traditional queue due to their disability. If you are assigned DAS, there is a quick registration process to associate the service to your theme park media (MagicBands or admission cards).

I hope this helps to clear up any confusion. Please write me back if you have any other questions!

    Happy Planning!
