WIth the economic situation, has WDW announced if they will be reducing the newly inflated costs of renting a stroller? My DS is 7 and may not be able to handle all of the walking, but I can't bring myself to pay $31/day to rent one. HELP!

I'm not aware of  plans to reduce the rates of the stroller rental.

On my last visit the $31/day rate applied to the rental of a double stroller.  The rental rate for a single stroller was $15/day.

Disney does offer a discounted length of stay rate on stroller rentals, which will save you money if you plan on visiting the parks on more than one day.  Simply pre-pay the rental on your first day (at the discounted rate), and you will be given a receipt indicating the number of rental days.  Bring your receipt with you to pick up your rental stroller on subsequent days.

Last time I checked the rates for the length of stay rentals was $27/day for a double and $13/day for a single stroller.

Keep in mind that the rentals (either daily, or length of stay) will transfer over should you choose to visit more than one of Disney's theme parks in a day.  For example, If you initially rent your stroller in the Magic Kingdom, but later in the day opt to use your park hopper pass to visit Epcot, simply bring your paid receipt you received with your initial rental that morning to the rental location at Epcot and a stroller will be issued for your visit at Epcot at no additional charge.
