How easy or difficult is it to Park Hop at the 2 Disneyland parks. We tried Park Hopping at Walt Disney World and did not enjoy that experience. It was not as easy as we thought it would be.

Howdy, Rhowan! Thanks for trusting the Disney Parks Moms Panel to help you plan your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

I’m so glad you asked this question because park hopping is unbelievably easy at the Disneyland Resort! Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are located directly across from one another and it will take you no more than two or three minutes to walk from one park to the other. Furthermore, the Downtown Disney District is just footsteps away as well. So if you want to take a break from the parks to do some shopping, have a fabulous meal, or perhaps experience the all new Star Wars™: Secrets of the Empire by ILMxLAB and The VOID, your travel time is under 10 minutes by foot. Then, if you want to head back to Disneyland Park, you can hop aboard the Disneyland Monorail for a quick and scenic ride into the park.

And it gets better…the three Disneyland Resort Hotels are all within walking distance too! It is incredibly convenient to stay at one of these hotels because you are always just minutes away from the action. If you aren’t staying on-site, you can still enjoy the fantastic dining options (including three character meals) in the Disneyland Resort Hotels or just stop in to experience the ambiance or indulge in a spa treatment. The entire Disneyland Resort is so easy to navigate that it’s one of the main reasons we vacation here year after year. So definitely purchase Park Hopper tickets as you will want to hop back and forth once you see how simple it is. I hope your visit to the Disneyland Resort is full of magic and memories!
