is there easy access to handicapped parking at Kidani Village? My wife uses her own ecv and she needs lots of room between cars to get on and off her ecv.

Hi Valerie, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are definitely in for a treat with an upcoming stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village! From the exotic, rich dark woods, sounds of traditional African music and fascinating artwork surrounding this Resort, you will truly feel as if you have been transported to an African lodge. The Resort itself is gorgeous as well, and the Uzima Springs Pool is simply stunning.

Fortunately, I am pleased to tell you that Kidani Village has perhaps one of the most convenient parking arrangements for Guests. Parking here is unique as it is located in a covered parking garage under the Resort. This is especially convenient in Florida, as your vehicle will be sheltered from the hot sun. Elevator access is available from the parking garage to the Resort. You will find plenty of handicap parking spaces available, many with close access to the elevators and wider berths making it easier for those like your wife who are required to transfer from vehicle to wheelchair or Electronic Conveyance Vehicle (ECV). When checking into the Resort, be sure to inquire as to which elevator bank in the parking garage will be most convenient to access your assigned room.

When making your Resort hotel reservation, you may also wish to request an Accessible Resort Room, which provides wider doors and roll-in shower conveniences for Guests with mobility issues.

I hope this information is helpful to you Valerie. Should you have any other questions, please send them our way. Wishing you and your wife a wonderful upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Vacation!

    Magically Yours,
    ~Trish
