What is the easiest and smoothest way to travel from LAX to Disneyland, specifically The Grand Californian? We do not wish to rent a car. Is there a shuttle service that we can book prior arrival? I sure wish there was a Magical Express option! Thanks!

    Hi, Christine!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I’m so glad you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort!

To make the 35-mile drive from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to the Disneyland Resort, you can use a shared shuttle van service. There are various companies offering this service that can be arranged in advance. Another economical option for families is Disneyland Resort Express, a private bus service that offers large, comfortable tour buses. There is a per-person fee, but buses run continuously and no reservation is required. It’s not always the fastest option, however, since each bus makes multiple stops at the airport and the three Disneyland Resort Hotels. One more option you have is to take a taxi, town car or limo transfer, which will be convenient, private and one of the fastest ways to travel, but it can be more expensive.

I hope this information is helpful, Christine, and that you have a pixie-dusted visit to the Disneyland Resort! Please don’t hesitate to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your vacation.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
