How early can one check in to get a hotel key in order to take advantage of Early Morning Magic hour the first day of the hotel stay. I know the room is not guaranteed to be ready until 4:00 pm, but thought we might be able to get the room key before.

Hello Elaine, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent planning question.

I am so excited to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days! You must be so excited to be a part of the Incredible Summer? You are just like me and want to jump right in and have fun right away.

Since you are a guest at a Disney Resort Hotel, you will need to check-in before you are able to take advantage of an Extra Magic Hour Morning at a theme park. You can check-in online using the My Disney Experience Mobile App or in person at the registration desk of your Resort Hotel. At that time you can ask if your room would be available earlier and a Cast Member can complete that request. You did not state what method of travel you were using to arrive at your Resort Hotel, if you are traveling by air and using Disney’s Magical Express, you can leave your carry-on bags with Bell Services and they will deliver them to your room later.

You will not need a room key during your stay because, those stylish and amazing MagicBands you got in the mail, will unlock the door to your Resort Hotel room once it is ready. I have been enjoying my arrival day in the parks and received a notification when my room was ready along with my room number. Yes! Your MagicBands are linked to your My Disney Experience account along with your theme park admission tickets, FastPass+ selections, and even your Memory Maker. You can even charge merchandise and food back to your room! Have a wonderful trip!

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
