Hi, Valerie!
It sounds like you’re planning a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation! As of now, reservations for Disneyland Resort Hotels can be made for travel dates through the end of December 2018. The resort usually releases pricing for the coming year each summer. I recommend securing your reservation as soon as you know your travel dates, especially if you plan to visit during a holiday weekend or another popular time.
Check out the theme park
attractions list online. It can be sorted by age interest, height requirement and thrill level. If an attraction is advertised as being for “any height,” then it’s safe even for a baby. I think you’ll find there’s something for everyone in your group in both theme parks!
I usually bring my own stroller since those rented directly from the resort may be used in the two theme parks but cannot be taken to the Downtown Disney District or resort hotels. There are also local companies offering rentals arranged in advance if you’d like the convenience of using a top-notch stroller that can be used all throughout the whole resort.
You’re welcome to pack your own snacks to save money, and even small coolers with sandwiches and beverages are allowed. You can also ask for free cups of water at any quick-service dining location to stay hydrated. All restaurants offer kids menus with prices and portions to suit their smaller appetites, and there are many quick-service dining locations that offer portions large enough to share. A favorite is the hearty fried chicken plate at
Plaza Inn, which my husband and I often split for lunch. I hope your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is all you’ve dreamed, Valerie! Please write me with any other questions you have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
