    Sarah from LA Asked

What's the earliest age recommended to take my child on her first Disney trip?

    Hi Sarah -

That's a great question, but one that is difficult to answer. Every child and family is different, but I can tell you about our experience.

I first traveled to Walt Disney World with my family when my son was 11 months old and my daughter was 2 1/2. My daughter absolutely loved meeting the characters (especially the princesses), and experiencing the many of the attractions, including the Disney Junior Live on Stage show. There were lots of rides that we couldn't go on, but there was still plenty that we could do.

My kids are now 7 and 9, and still love visiting Walt Disney World. While they aren't as interested in the characters now, they do love all of the attractions.

Ideally, I'd say that 4 is probably the optimal age for a first Disney trip. But you can still have fun at any age!

I hope that helps! Have a great vacation!
