Going to DW 3/09 with mom, father and sister who have never been. What table service meals do you suggest? Plan to do 3. DH, DS15, DS12 have been many times & will also be along. Staying at Boardwalk and willing to try any where on site.

For folks who have never been to WDW, there are three general categories of restaurants I would try to have them experience:

    - Signature dining
    - Character meal
    - Uniquely Disney

The signature dining restaurant shows them the gourmet dining possibilities at WDW. These restaurants are all more upscale experiences, without being stuffy or stilted. My personal favorite is Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge. The cedar plank salmon and cheese tasting plate are divine. The decor is simultaneously elegant and relaxed. Signature favorites of other guests include the California Grill, Jiko, Narcoosees and others.

A character meal brings out the kid in every adult. Even the most buttoned-up business man or reserved senior citizen becomes a seven-year-old child again when they're getting a high-five from Mickey Mouse. The classic character meals are Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary and Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom, but any character dining experiences will do the trick.

The unique Disney experiences are regular restaurants with a unique twist: special themeing or entertaining servers that make the meal like nothing you'll have at home. The Sci-Fin Dine-In at Disney's Hollywood Studios is often fun for older guests who will remember seeing campy movies at drive-ins just like those shown on the screen. Other good choices would be the 50's Prime Time Diner at DHS, the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. The countries at Epcot also are good choices. The Biergarten at the Germany pavilion and Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco pavilion have fun entertainment that accompany these meals.

I hope you ALL have a wonderful trip to WDW.
