Mom and daughter on Expedition Everest

Going to DW June '10. Celebrating our 11th anniversary. Have 2 kids, 3 & 7 and don't want to leave them alone. Any suggestions for a surprise for my husband? He will already be playing golf at oak trail. Want to do more than just a cake at a rest.

Even with kids in tow, Walt Disney World offers several different ways to celebrate your special day.  Here are a few suggestions to consider:

    - Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  My family had the opportunity to enjoy this experience last September and each and every one of us had a great time.  Those celebrating special events (like anniversaries or birthdays) are given special recognition during the trip.

    - Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.  This dinner show is always a hit with families.  Here, too, do they recognize those celebrating special events.  And if you book it for the right time, you may also be able to head over to the campfire with Chip and Dale at Fort Wilderness after the show!  You'll want to be sure to inquire about campfire location and times when you book your reservation.

    - Horse-drawn Carriage Ride.  These special events take place at Port Orleans Riverside, The Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.  It's best to make arrangements ahead of time by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.  Rides last approximately 30 minutes and can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3 small children.

I hope that one of these suggestions (or a combination of them) will be the perfect surprise for your husband.  Happy (early) Anniversary!
