Hi! We are DVC members and will be staying at Bay lake in December. We have teenage boys. We have been to Disney a lot and want to do it a bit different this year. Any suggestions for New Years Eve? We do not need to go to the parks, but are open to it.

Hi Sheryl! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can't think of more magically spectacular place than Walt Disney World Resort to ring in the start of the New Year! No matter where you end up you'll be showered with festive lights and lots of holiday spirit.

For a change of pace from the theme parks, I would suggest Splitsville in Downtown Disney. With 2 exciting floors, 30 bowling lanes and mouthwatering dining options Splitsville is no ordinary bowling alley! No doubt your boys will have a ball!

Booking your fun time adventure at Splitsville is super simple. Just call 407-938-7467 to get started. Prices start at $125/hour per lane from 4p to close (1 am/2 am) for a party of to 8 plus $4 per person for shoe rental. When you make a reservation you'll get priority bowing, similar to using a FastPass+ selection.

And don't forget, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort offers an exclusive view of the fireworks above the Magic Kingdom Castle from the "Top of the World Lounge." You’ll have to present your Disney Vacation Club card in order to gain access to the elevator for the lounge.

Wishing you a magical and memorable Disney vacation.
