We are DVC members since forever and are used to just going by the seat of our pants with no itinerary. But we now have 18 month boy/girl twins that will be going with us this year. Any tips that would help make our trip more enjoyable and less stressful?

    Hi Wendy!

I too began my love of Disney Parks before kids. Now as a mommy of four, I do have some tips! Bring an inexpensive insulated diaper bag, so you won't worried if it gets wet, smashed, or left behind. An insulated bag will keep drinks cool, and I pack a sippy cup and snack for each child daily. One of the best items to pack are zip top plastic bags. Many times we have leftovers from a meal that we take use as a snack later. Larger size bags are perfect for wet clothing if there is a diaper leakage emergency. I also pack extra dollar store ponchos to cover the strollers in case of rain.

My best tip is to arrive early to take advantage of lower crowds since little ones tend to rise early anyway. Then return to your Disney Vacation Club Villa in the late morning or early afternoon to escape the crowds and heat. Let the babies take a nap at their usual time, and return to the parks in the late afternoon when everyone is refreshed. Before your trip, plan out a few attractions that are your must-do’s. With two little ones in tow, you’ll need to prioritize and understand that you won’t be able to do everything. If you wish to ride an attraction with a height restriction, use the Rider Switch option which allows the adults to take turns on an attraction, without having to wait on the standby line twice. Make FastPass+ selections if you haven’t already, and dine early to avoid lines and crowded dining areas.

Did you know there are Baby Care Centers in each park where you can change a diaper, feed your little ones or purchase supplies? Check out this video from my fellow Moms Panelist, Jen about these awesome places! Most importantly, go with the flow and have fun!
