We are DVC members and going to Disney 3/1 for 8 days with our 5 & 3 yr olds. We go twice a year and looking for ideas to do something different this time. we've done pirates cruise, pirates league, Backyard BBQ. Any ideas staying at BLT??

    Hi Cynthia,

We love staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It's amazingly beautiful, and being able to walk to the Magic Kingdom Park just cannot be beat! Our daughter even requested this resort for her seventh birthday celebration.

If you are interested in water sports, there are many options. Right outside of Disney's Contemporary Resort is the Boat Nook marina. You can rent watercraft and go out on the lake. An adult would have to drive, but your children could come along for the ride. If you're feeling even more adventurous, Sammy Duvall's Water Sports Centre is located right near the marina. If you sign a waiver, even your three year old could ride on the back of a jet ski with you, or could try water skiing or water tubing! Check them out at

A nice nighttime activity would be to take in the Wishes nighttime spectacular fireworks show from the Top of the World Lounge. This lounge is located at the top of Bay Lake Tower. To get there, you check in in the lobby of Bay Lake Tower, and they will take you to an elevator. From there, you can head up to the Top of the World Lounge. It has a slightly upscale lounge feeling, with fancy appetizers and drinks, but there are always children there. There is also a large outside patio from which you can see Wishes. It's a great view.

Finally, don't forget to check out the list of recreation activities that you will receive upon check in.  There are daily activities at Bay Lake Tower's Community Hall such as creating your own snow globe or making a Mickey tie dye. There are also daily poolside activities such as a daily pool party and Disney-themed bingo games. At night, there is a campfire and movies under the stars, weather permitting. There is so much to do at this amazing resort.

I hope this information helps, Cynthia.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
