I am a DVC member. I visit at least twice a year to WDW. Why do I keep getting sent new Magic bands with every vacation I book? I will now have 3 sets of bands. Can I still use the first bands I got last year?

    Hi Elaine!

We too have quite the collection of Magic Bands in our home. On our most recent trip we had a split stay, and so we received two separate sets of bands. I customized them with two separate colors so I would have them to match my different outfits!

Currently, the system automatically generates a set of Magic Bands with each separate reservation number. If you do not customize your bands, a basic set of grey bands will be generated and waiting for you when you arrive at your Disney resort hotel. If you have bands at home from previous trips you can indeed continue to use them. Just be sure to visit your My Disney Experience account, to double check that the band is active and linked to your account. As long as the band is listed as active, you can bring that band with you and use it on your trip. When you arrive at your resort, simply let the Cast Member know you are using your current bands, and would like the new set recycled.

Have fun planning your upcoming March stay with Disney Vacation Club, and if you have additional questions, please let me know. I love helping fellow Members make the most of each and every trip!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
