HI: I am a DVC member and have booked several weekend reservations the first starting in Sept 2015. I am planning on buying FL res annual pass but don't want the "clock" to start running until we get their is there a way to still make fast pass

    Hello Michele!

A Walt Disney World Annual Pass is a great way to save money on your vacations. We are Annual Passholders. It is a good value for us, and the discount we receive is our favorite benefit of being Disney Vacation Club Members. For a standard Walt Disney World Annual Pass without blackout dates, I believe the discount for Disney Vacation Club Members is actually a better deal than the one offered to Florida residents so you should price out both options.

With the standard Walt Disney World Annual Pass that my family purchases, we are able to make FastPass+ selections before the Annual Pass is activated. Once I purchased the Annual Pass and received our confirmation number, I used that number in My Disney Experience to link the Annual Passes. Once linked, I can make FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance of any park day, or 60 days in advance of check-in of a resort reservation.

When you arrive at a theme park and are ready to use your Walt Disney World Annual Pass for the first time, visit a Guest Relations Window outside the park to have it activated. Once activated you’ll be able to enter the park. For Disney Vacation Club Members, you need to show your Membership Card and a Photo ID. For Florida Resident Annual Passes, you will need to provide documentation that you are now a resident of the State of Florida and are eligible for the discounted pass. Only once the Annual Pass is activated does the one year window begin.

I hope this answers your question. I would also refer to the Florida Residents Passholders Program information page for more specific details, especially for proof of residency requirements. Please let me know if you have any additional questions I can help you with. I love helping my fellow Members make their vacations magical!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
