Due to high traffic arriving, is it better for runners to stay on property the night before a Disney race? I am running the PHM in Feb and have heard the interstate traffic is a parking lot. I don't want to be late or *yikes* even miss the race!

    Hi Lauren,

I would say that it is much easier to stay on property the night before the race.
I have stayed on and off property the night before the race and it is much easier and less stressful to get up and get on the bus to take you over to the corrals.  Plus, the energy and excitement from everyone on the bus really gets you fired up to get to the starting line!

There are some roads closed, and reduced lane roads so it can add up to a delay in traffic.

If you stay on property you will be able to sleep in a little bit longer.  Last year I was so worried about being late for the race that I made sure we left super early to beat any traffic.  A little extra sleep can make a difference in your run!

Have a fantastic time, I wish I was running with you!

Make sure you get a good night's sleep, get enough water the day before and during the race and take pictures if you can!!

    Have a fantastic time!!

    Yours in good health!
