We are driving & staying on property at Animal Kingdom. We want to be at Magic Kingdom for rope drop on the morning we check in. I know parking is free because we are staying on property, but can we park at MK for free before we check in at AKL?

    Hi Jennifer,

What a way to start the new year than with a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. Let all your New Year's resolutions come true!

Among the many Disney Resort Hotel Guest Benefits, one my family takes advantage of most of the time, is complimentary standard Parking across the whole Resort hotel. We usually make the long drive south from New Jersey, but that's part of our vacation. We enjoy it!

If you have a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, you do need to Check-In to your Resort Hotel in order to activate your Theme Park Tickets. Your room will more than likely not be ready early in the morning, but you can start taking advantage of all of your Resort hotel amenities. This will also give you a parking permit which you can then use to park all around the Resort.

Remember that you would be parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and you would then need to take either the monorail or ferry boat to go to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. My suggestion is that you just leave your car at your Resort Hotel, and take advantage of Complimentary Resort Transportation, directly to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park.

    See you real soon!

    Ricardo.
