If i am driving from Port Canaveral, it looks like approx 1:30 minutes. but where does that get me? I want to go to Magic Kingdom. how long does it take to get there from the park's main entrance??

    Hi Alexandra ~

It sounds like you may be planning a land and sea adventure and I can't think of a more exciting trip!

The Walt Disney World Resort is an easy trip from Port Canaveral. It usually takes me around an hour to make the trip. That should get you to the entrance of the Walt Disney World Resort. Of course, that can vary depending on traffic and construction along the way. There are some tolls along the way so be prepared.

Once you are on property, you can reach the Magic Kingdom parking lot in 10 - 15 minutes. Depending on the time you arrive, you may see some back up at the parking plaza but it seems to move fairly quickly.

After parking, you can walk or take a tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Security for the Magic Kingdom is now located at the entrance of the Transportation and Ticket Center. Once you have gone through security, you can climb aboard a monorail or ferry boat to get to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom park. To be safe, I would plan on approximately 30 minutes from the time you park until you arrive at the front entrance of the Magic Kingdom park. Again, this could take longer depending on the time of day you arrive. There is typically a large number of people all trying to make their way to the Magic Kingdom earlier in the morning so it may take a little longer.
