We are driving to Orlando Dec 15th and getting in around 2:00 pm and will be departing Monday Dec.19. We have a four year old boy and I'm wondering what would be the best way to spend our time? Especially the first day since we get in later in the day.

    Hi Holly!

    I suggest the following:
    • Animal Kingdom on Thursday
    • Hollywood Studios on Friday
    • Magic Kingdom on Saturday
    • Epcot on Sunday
    • Animal Kingdom or revisit your favorite park

I make that suggestion because the Magic Kingdom will close early on Friday and Sunday because it is offering Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on those days; however, if you wouldn't stay past 7 pm anyways, then I actually suggest going to the Magic Kingdom on one of those days.  That's because the park will be less crowded than normal on those days because many guests won't want to visit a theme park that is closing early.

I suggest doing the Animal Kingdom on your first day because it is generally not that crowded in the afternoons as a lot of guests leave at mid-day.  However, the Animal Kingdom does close early, so if you think you want to be in a park a little later, then I suggest visiting Epcot instead.

Unfortunately there is no one right answer.  However, the parks won't be packed with guests yet, so that will help.  You might consider getting the Park Hopper option on your Magic Your Way tickets to provide the most flexibility.
