I am driving to MNSSHP from a non-park hotel. How do you get from the parking lot to the park? and how long does it take? I'm trying to formulate a plan which involves me getting my sleeping 5 year old back to the car in a stroller from the party

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle! You and your Mouseketeer are going to have the most awesome time at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

I’ve been in your shoes many, many times! Here’s how it works. When you arrive to the parking lot at the Magic Kingdom Park, you park and then you can take a tram to the Ticket and Transportation Center where you will go through security. You have two options, the ferry boat or the monorail transportation, to get you to the entrance of the theme park.

It will take about 30-45 minutes to get back to your car after the party. You can take either mode of transportation I mentioned above and still be able to leave your little man in his stroller, asleep. If you parked in the villain’s lot, you may be able to bypass the tram (and avoid getting your sleeping little man out of his stroller) on your way to your car. It all depends on how far you’re willing to walk. I will tell you that I’ve walked a lot in order to keep my little ones asleep and in their strollers after a magical, yet sometimes tiring night at the parks.

Now to the good stuff… there’s so much new entertainment to look forward to during your visit! Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” will host the all-new nighttime firework show, “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.” The bride from the Haunted Mansion will appear in this year’s "Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade", alongside waltzing ghosts and those famous Hitchhiking Ghosts.

For more details and ideas for some awesome photo opportunities at this year’s spook-tacular party, take a look at this post on the Disney Parks Blog.

Michelle, If you need any other planning tips or advice for your magical visit, remember that you can always come back to see us. It’s our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next vacation!
