We are driving and will be arriving before we can park at the hotel. We want to visit the park right away. What are some less expensive ways if parking? Like can we go have breakfast at downtown Disney and get a ticket validated? If so where can we park

    Hi, Elizabeth!

Your trip to the Disneyland Resort is almost here! It sounds like you’re eager to explore all the magic the theme parks have to offer.

If you are arriving on the day you check in at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you are by all means welcome to park at the hotel--even if it is early in the morning and several hours prior to the standard check-in time of 3:00 p.m. You can park your vehicle, check in, store your luggage at Bell Services and enjoy the resort without delay!

The Downtown Disney District parking lot is meant for Guests who plan to shop and dine in that area. Guests are entitled to three hours of parking when they make a $20 minimum purchase with validation from any Downtown Disney District location (such as a quick-service restaurant or shop), or up to five hours of parking with validation from any Downtown Disney District table-service restaurant or AMC Theatres movie. Beyond that, parking is $12 an hour with a maximum daily parking fee of $48.

If you intend to visit a theme park, you should follow the signs to theme park parking. Standard theme park parking for one vehicle is just a flat fee of $20 per day, so your best bet is to park in the appropriate lot if you do plan to enjoy a day at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.

I hope this information helps, Elizabeth. Please visit us again with more questions as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
